CURRENT PROJECTS AT THE IDEAS DISTILLERY
CQ SHOPFRONT
2019-2021
After several years of development, The Ideas Distillery has successfully sought funding to provide a program to Central Queensland artists and makers to build sustainable business models and develop commercially viable products in 2020 and 2021.
Through funding from Arts Queensland, the Regional Arts Fund/ Flying Arts Alliance, local government RADF programs and CQ RASN, business workshops will be facilitated in partnership with Flying Arts Alliance - now going online during COVID 19. Artisan in Residence Programs in 7 local government regions will roll out in the second half of 2020 along with a CQ Shopfront Forum and Market. Further funding is being sought to support mentoring from Artisan and an exhibition at their gallery in 2021 in Brisbane.

CQ RASN and CQ University is also partnering to facilitate a webinar series to build sector knowledge and capacity.
Ultimately, the aim is to provide support to the development of multiple sustainable micro businesses and cooperatives.
